Dog Training While Boarding

While there are many training options available, sometimes busy schedules don’t allow you to devote the time needed for basic dog obedience training. Boarding your dog while training can be the solution for you. For a period of time, your dog would board with Canine Tutors and in that time they would learn basic obedience commands and any behavior problems would be addressed as well. Once the specified amount of time was up, you would spend some time with Ashley, learning how to handle your dog. Once your dog has learned how to receive commands, you will have to learn how to give them properly.

Not only are you both going to learn how to work together, but there will be many distractions for both of you, but especially your dog to overcome. While this can be frustrating, remember that you’re not alone. Ashley will be with you every step of the way. You want to take your dog out in public with you, don’t you? The world if full of distractions, especially for a curious pup. What better way to start overcoming those distractions but in a controlled environment? Some common service dog skills include alerting you when people are approaching or trying to get your attention, alerting you of oncoming traffic, smells of smoke or gas, or simply alerting you that it’s time to wake up. Service dogs can also be trained to seek help in the event of a medical emergency.

Cuddling on cue, interrupting nightmares and responding to anxiety or panic attacks are all skills taught to calm. Services dogs can detect specific allergy triggers, low blood sugar levels, and tell when there is a change in cortisol levels in the body.

Service dogs are there to support you in a multitude of ways including guiding you down a street, turning lights on and off, open and holding doors, offer themselves as a brace as you stand up and steady yourself and even help you put on your socks and shoes.
