From Claim to Evidence: A Review Checklist
Sample identity, a recorded method and clear limitations come before a defensible conclusion.
Document the sample
A test report should identify the model, version, sample origin and test date. The reader should be able to tell which physical sample produced the observations.
Describe the method
Record the equipment, environment, measurement procedure and number of samples. If there is only one sample, state that limit and avoid describing the result as representative of every unit.
Keep raw observations separate
Distinguish what was measured from what was inferred. An unexpected result deserves a record and, where possible, a repeat check before it becomes a broad product claim.
Explain the score
Any future scoring system should publish its criteria and weighting. The current site has no completed hands-on tests and therefore no product scores.
Disclose relationships
Explain whether a sample was supplied and whether the article has a commercial relationship. A disclosure belongs near the report, not only on a distant policy page.
Keep the source, method and limitations together.
